Update #1 in Clovis New Mexico

So, Rylee and I are in New Mexico. I have taken a TON of pictures and a few cute videos BUT I left the cord I have to have to upload my pictures at home. OH well! Rylee and Aavary are getting along great for the most part. We have had a few moments where Rylee was being a little too rough. I would get down on her level and make her look me in the eyes as I told her "No....." and she would stop and listen and then get the WORST pouty face because her feelings are starting to get hurt more easily lately. Rylee calls her BABY. Rylee has been sleeping in Aavary's crib, in the room across the hall from the room I am in and she LOVES it! She has only woken up 1 night and even then, I gave her a binky and she layed right back down. I need to get her a twilight turtle like Aavary has because she lays back there at night and counts the stars (she can count up to 4) and talks herself to sleep, it is the sweetest thing ever. She wakes up and walks around the house screaming and looking for baby Aavary. It is so cute. Speaking of waking up, Rylee has not slept past 6:38 am since we got here and we still have 6 more nights here....UGH! I need a nap.

Heather and I have been having a few glasses of wine or a beer or two after the girls go to bed every night. It has been so nice to be back with my BEST friend/sister/cousin. We can go a year or two without seeing each other and everything just clicks the moment we get around each other. I love her! She has the first 4 seasons of Weeds. In case you are not familiar, it is a series on Showtime I strongly suggest it. I have watched all of seasons 1and 2 and we are 1/2 way through season 3!!!!! OMGsh, it is addicting. I am hooked.

We are taking the girls to the zoo sometime while we are here. It is a small zoo but I think it will be the perfect size for an almost 20 month old and an 11 month old. The weather is so nice here. I has been a lovely change from the 100+ degree weather back home. The high since I have been here is 94 and the low was 68 the second night we were here. We have been able to play outside and not worry about the heat. I am planning on getting Rylee some sidewalk chalk while we are here.

George ha been busy with work and he has called me once asking me to bring him something while he was at work, then he realised I am 6-7 hours away! He and Rylee have been talking on the phone every night while we have been here, he still wants to tell her night night and that he loves here while we are here! It is so sweet. Rylee gets so excited to hear his voice.

SOOO, over all this hass been a MUCH needed vacation for me. Regardless of having to get up early, which I do at home too, it has been JUST the thing I need before Rylee and I start school. I am relaxed and for the most part stress free! I will post TONS of pictures when I get home, we are leaving here on Friday.

Vacation Time!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night George, Rylee and I went to the open house at Rylee's school. It was fun! Rylee loved playing with the other kids and her teacher, Miss Laura is super sweet. She is bi-lingual and is going to start teaching them Spanish. I'm super excited about that. Rylee is one of 2 girls in her class and the second youngest but you would never know. She was quite the leader when it came to them all playing! I am less nervous and more excited about her starting school now. I'm still a little sad though!

Rylee and I are leaving for New Mexico tonight with Heather and Aavary! I can't wait. Heather and I are 8 1/2 months apart and our girls are also 8 1/2 months apart (YES this was planned!!!!) We dreamed about this when we were little girls, playing with our dolls. Now we are grown up and playing with our babies! We would always imagine going on road trips with our daughters and now it is happening. I'm so happy and in awe! I have a lot of things that I have to get packed for us. This is the longest that Rylee and I have been away from home since she was born and it will be the longest that George and I have been apart in YEARS!!!! We will be setting up Heather, Aavram and Aavary's new house, sight seeing, and relaxing! I will post pictures whenever I can.

Its about time....

So, it is about time that I have created this blog. I'm new to this so bare with me! I guess I will catch most of you up on what we have been up to. My mom was here from July 21-August 20 (yesterday). A LOT has happened between then and now.
I have gotten Rylee registered for school! YES, our little baby is going to school. She is going to The Enrichment Center for Young Children (ECYC) at First United Methodist Church here in Arlington. The school year begins for her August 24 but she isn't going to start until Sept. 8. (I just am trying to hold on to her for as much more time as I can)
I am registered to start school at Remington College on September 21. I am going to be a Medical Assistant with additional certifications in X-Ray and EKG technologies. My projected graduation date is September 16 2010!!!!! SO EXCITED!!!!!!

My Brother, Steven, and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed my niece, Emma Marie Lappa, to the world on August 17!!!! Steven is in rout back to N.Carolina from Iraq to be with his new family and I couldn't be more proud of them. Emma is B-E-A-utiful!
Rylee and I are leaving next Monday with Heather and Aavary to New Mexico so that I can have a mini vacation with Rylee before the two of us start school. Here are a few recent pictures of Rylee. That is about it for now.......
