We are wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. May 2010 bring you all the joy and happiness you can handle!

Today is Christmas Eve.....man, where has 2009 gone? We are going to my Nana's house, as usual and having mexican/Tex-mex for dinner! It is a welcomed change from turkey, ham, potatoes, and stuffing!!! We will come home and wake up for Santa in the morning!! Santa is bringing Rylee 4 books and a baby doll and Roger is getting his favorite mice. We will then go to George's parents house for Christmas breakfast and opening Rylee's big presnets, a play kitchen and shopping basket!!! Then we will go to my Aunt Sarah's house and have Christmas with my mom and grand parents for the first time in years!!! I can't wait. Friday night we will probably come home and relax and get ready for Saturday, my 27th birthday!!! I feel old! We are going to dinner with some friends and then have a few drinks somewhere, not sure where tho. Last year we went to Dave and Busters and it was NOT what we were looking for!

January 2 is mine and George's anniversary and then I go back to school on January 4th which is also Rylee's second birthday! We will have her a small party the weekend after her birthday, probably at my dads house.

That's it for now....have a safe holiday.....

just a few questions

I have a few questions that maybe you blogspot pros. can help me with....

1) How can I search for specific types of blogs to read (ie, N. Texas Mommies, moms with toddlers, give away blogs, etc...)

2) How do I make my blog 3 columns? I am only seeing templets for 2 columns?

If you can think of any tricks or ideas to help me, a beginner blogger, please let me know....Im open to all info!

THANKS in advance!!!!!

Moving ahead...

George has been staying pretty busy. We got his truck back from the collision center that was fixing it. It was bitter sweet.....the rental was sooo NIIIICE and big! We need a bigger car/truck. We are going to 2 Christmas Parties this weekend. One out in Little Elm with Khristi and Ryan. The other is on Sunday at Chris' ranch! I have a few more things to get for Christmas. Then Im DONE!!! Im ready for the Holiday's to be over. Not the part about getting together with family and friends but the stressful part, the part where you run around like a chicken with your head cut off, the part that makes the roads more dangerous because of weather and CRAZY people.
Yesterday was the last day of Mod C! I ended the mod with a 102 in lecture and a 102 in lab!!! I will miss my teacher that I had this mod. She ROCKED!!! She was awesome and a lot of fun. The last 4 weeks went by toooo fast. I start Mod D on Monday and then Wednesday is my last day until January 4th....which happens to be Rylee's second birthday =( I will take some cupcakes to her school after I get out of school that day. I can't believe that she will be 2 in about 2 weeks.....where has the time gone?!?! As you can see I have posted some pictures of Rylee from this time last year and some from this year.

This was har 1st birthday, seems like it was just a few months ago =(
Look how short her hair was!I think she only had 7 teeth this time lastyear...a big change from now...she has 21!She was in size 4 shoe, now a 6.5. Size 18 month clothes and now I am starting to buy 3T!!!!!

Christmas is in 1 week from today!!! My birthday is in 1 week and 1 day!!!! Christmas Eve we will be going to Nana's house and then Christmas morning we will have our small lil christmas here and then go to George's parent's house. We will spend the rest of the day with My mom, grandparents, cousin, aunt and uncle out in Weatherford. I can't wait.......

when it rains.....

it POURS! Last night when George got home from work he went to open the garage door and it BROKE! The gear came off the motor and he had to do it manually. Thanks goodness the across the street man is a garage door repair guy!!! This morning, Rylee and I were on our way out the door (jacket and backpack ON) and she went into the bathroom to tell George bye, he was getting in the shower. I looked down at the floor and water was EVERYWHERE and coming out fast. The pipe from under our sink broke when he turned the shower on and ruined EVERYTHING that was in the cabinets. ALL my make up, cotton balls, both sets of clippers that George used on his head and face, and a few other things that Rylee had "hidden" (a few binky's that I hadn't seen in MONTHS and a hairbrush that I thought I lost). I had just washed ALLLLL the towels last night and blankets for the couch, now they all have to be re-washed YUCK! AND because there had been a leak under the sink that we didn't know about we found MOLD!!!! Looks like I will be getting new bathroom counters/cabinets.

They say that bad things happen 3s, what will be next?!? Hopefully nothing because this is going to hit us hard when it comes to buying, or not buying Christmas presents.

Just had to get all this off my chest so that I don't explode. I think I will go to the gym, and work off some stress (and lbs. ) once the next load of laundry goes into the dryer.

Another week down

I got a 104 on my quiz yesterday and a 104 on my test today. I also learned how to remove sutures yesterday and today I learned how to properly stitch it back up. "IT" being a pigs foot and ankle. here is a picture, the teacher said that I did GREAT!!!!!

I have been such a procrastinator this year when it comes to Christmas shopping.....we haven't even started. I know that it will end up being a last minute thing, that seems to be the way we are either EARRRRRLY or BARELY on time. Oh well. Here are some pictures.
Sorry such a short update but not a lot went on this week.....

What a week

This has been a LONG week for us. We had a great time over the Thanksgiving holiday and that weekend we went to DeKalb (3 hrs. east of us) where George's family has land. We had fires every night, fireworks that we had been holding on to since the 4th of July, and a 3rd thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. Rylee had a good time playing with Jackson, George's cousin's son. Monday was back to work/school for us. I had a test first thing on monday and I got a 102, a quiz on Thursday and got a 104, and today I took another test and got a 100! I got my mid term grades for the first half of this mod and I am sitting on a 103.5 right now! It is safe to say that I will be maintaining my 4.0. I couldn't be happier, the hard work really does pay off. I wish I would have been this dedicated to studying when I was in HS!!!!checking on Samantha in my dad's back yard

walking in Nana's shoes

Rylee is talking more and more daily! She is learning to say the names of the kids in her class and she is always talking about "a-bree" (Avery) the only other little girl in her class. She has been having some issues with breathing and snotty nose-ness lately so I took her to the doctor on Wednesday to have them confirm that she just has a cold/allergies so we can give her up to 4 doses of Benedryl a day (I only gove it to her in the morning before school and at night) it seems to be doing the trick thus far. SHE IS A CLIMBER!!!!!!! She can climb up our big pub height dining room chairs and get onto the table now...that was a lovely sight when I peaked around the corner while doing dishes to check up on her (she was being tooo quiet and I knew she was up to something, I just didn't expect it to be that!)

George got all dinged up while we were out in east Texas last weekend. We were about loaded up and he decided to go for "one more ride" and the back tire slid out from him when he was going around a corner too fast and hit mud. His shin, shoulder, and hip are bruised and scraped up. He is just about all better tho now. I am just happy that he didn't re-injure his back!!!!

Tonight my mom is coming over for taco dinner and then George and I are going to the driving range for the first time in months. My friend from Little Elm and her boyfriend are supposed to be coming out too!!!! Tomorrow I'm not sure what we are doing but Im sure it won't be much. Sunday will be a relax and unwind day as well.

That's about it for now..........

Mod C

I must say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new teacher. She is awesome, enthusiastic, down to earth and I am looking forward to having her for another 3 weeks! Her tests are LONG..100 questions each test but I guess it is better that way. I can miss 10 and still get an A!! I got an 88 on the first test...not too good but not BAD! Next week will be long for me. I will have school Mon-Fri instead of just til Thursday because we have to make up for not having school today! I have a test on Monday, quizz on Thursday and another test on Friday. AHHHHHH

Today is Rylee's 2nd Thanksgiving and I can't wait because my grandparents are here and they had never met Rylee before Sunday!!! They were such an important part of my life growing up that I am so happy that Rylee will get to know them. We are going to my Dad's first and then we will end up at my Aunt Sarah's house (Ninny). Tonight we are going out with Paul and Brandy!! Tomorrow George, Rylee and I are going out to DeKalb to drink beer, shoot off the fireworks from 4th of July, the boys will shoot guns and ride dirt bikes, oh yeah and my favorite part.....have a bonfire! We will come home Sunday.

I will post pictures later, that's about it for now.............

Thursdays.....

Thursdays are always good days for me, yesterday especially! I had 2 finals and I got the grades for them and the project that I did on anencephaly (neural tube defect). I got an 87 on my lecture final which I was THRILLED about, it was HARRRRRD. Only one person got an A. The lab final I got a 98! I will still have my 4.0!!!!!!! I got a 98 on the project also that counted as 15% of our overall lecture grade! EVERY Thursday is a good one for me also because it is Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice AND my girlfriend Jess always comes over to hang out. I watched Grayson, her son on Tuesday night because she needed to study and Brian needed George's help with his truck. I got these CUTE pictures of them! (there are MUCH more in my November album on Facebook)
My Mom left California with my grandparents yesterday. They are driving and taking there time. They should be here Sunday. I have a baby shower to go to on Sunday! I can't wait to see Sarah, haven't seen her in a LONG time. I start Mod C on Monday. I can't believe it! I am so excited! I am loving school. I am curious to see who my teacher will be next Mod. I will miss Mrs. Hunt-Cooper that I had last mod, she was hard but GOOOOOD!!!

Paul (Mine and George's best friend/reason that George and I met 12 1/2 years ago) will be coming in on Wednesday with his girlfriend and her little girl. We are planning on dinner with them on Wednesday. Thanksgiving Day we are going to my dad's house. George's parents are coming with us which I am looking forward to because it is a LOT easier when we all get together as one BIG family instead of having to go to 2 -3 family Thanksgivings in one day. Its just toooo much and it makes for a LONG day. Friday, the day after Thanksgiving we are going out to DeKalb to ride bikes, shoot guns, burn wood, and RELAX! OH, and another Thanksgiving dinner!
Hopefully I don't put back on the 11 lbs. that I have lost since school started. *fingers crossed*

that's about it for now..........

Friday the 13th

So I have been SUPER busy this week. Next week is my final week again. I am almost done with my project that is due on Tuesday....thanks Holly for all of your help with sources and pictures of your precious Carleigh.

My mommy's furniture is already in route from California to Texas. I can't believe that after 8 yrs. she is FINALLY moving back home to TX. She will be leaving California next Thursday or Friday!!!!! My grandparents are coming here with her! They have never met Rylee.

Last weeks bachelor/bachelorette parties were fun for both George and I. I have pictures on my facebook page if you want to check the ones out that were internet acceptable! ;) Tomorrow is Khristi and Ryan's wedding!!!!!!!

Tonight we are going to have some neighbors over for hotdogs, curly fries and green beans!!!!! Tomorrow is the wedding. Sunday, we are moving the extra couch from our living room to my moms house, the chair, and end tables and lamp them we are going to go get the washer and dryer from my aunt and uncles house for her. I say "we" what I really mean is George and one of his buddies are moving all that stuff! I have to finish the power point for my report so I will be at my dad's house with Rylee!!!

that's about it for now

Going to be a good one...

Here are some pictures of Rylee on Halloween. She R-E-F-U-S-E-D to wear her doggy costume or even her tutu over her clothes. The best part of my Halloween is when George came home with a NEW stove instead of groceries that he was supposed to be buying! NO COMPLAINTS here......if you saw our old stove you understand! I Love this ^^^^ picture!

Some kids sleep with a baby or blanket, mine sleeps with Talladega Nights! hahaha
School was good this week! I got a 100 on my quiz yesterday! Tonight we are having some friends over to cook out, have some drinks, and mayby put some wood in the fire pit! Okay, who am I kidding, I know we will have a fire because George LOVES to play with fire, especially when he has a few drinks. Tomorrow, Rylee is going to have a sleep over with Pawpaw, Memaw and Francisco! She will have a good time. George and I are going to Khristi and Ryan's bachelor/bachelorette parties. It will be a blast. I have not had an all girls night in a LONG time with a large group of women so I am looking forward to that! Sunday we might be going out to TMS (Texas Motor Speedway) for the race!

Mod B

This week was the first week in Mod B for me. I love my teacher. She is going to be harder than my first teacher but that is okay, it will be good for me. I took my first quiz on Thursday and got a 93. We have had 3 grades so far and I got 98, 97, 93 =) I have my first exam this Mod on Monday. I am kind of scared about it.....it is open book. Those scare me more than the ones that are not open book....not sure why.

Rylee is doing great at school still. She is teething, or at least I hope that is what it is, and has been EXTREMELY irritable lately. George and I were wanting to go out to eat on Wed. night so we picked up Rylee from school and headed to S. Arlington to a Mexican restaurant that we have been wanting to try. We got in, got our table and before we even got our drinks we had to leave....she didn't want to sit, didn't want to be held, didn't want a bite or a drink, she was throwing a "Grand Mal"tantrum! We got in the car and it was back to "normal", laughing, singing, and saying "bite". So we stopped at another restaurant and AGAIN...had to leave, same scenario!!!!!!!!! George was MORTIFIED! He had never experienced Rylee like that. She is also in her terrible 2s I am guessing. We took Rylee to Boo at the Zoo on Tuesday and she was a TERROR the first hour we were there. I was not allowed to hold her, push the stroller, or ANYTHING that she wanted daddy to do. BUUUUT all that aside, she is a perfect almost 22 month old. She is funny and the good times out weight the bad but the bad are BAD! Here are her first school pictures.......

George has been working less and less as the busy season starts to wrap itself up. He was driving from one job to another yesterday and some MORON 20 year old kid and his twin brother were leaving school (TCC) and decided not to look before pulling out right in front of George. It probably totaled the other guys car. George will find out on Tuesday if they are going to total his truck out or not. We are hoping that they will just fix it because we really can't afford a truck payment right now, nor do we have the time to go through lawyers. BUT we will do what we have to do to make this right.

We have decided not to take Rylee trick or treating because she has proven to us this week that she is not at the right age to handle being in public! haha just joking, we just know that she doesn't need candy, no kid does, and she would be miserable because she likes to go to bed early. Not sure what else we have planned for the weekend but I know that I will be studying on Sunday.

That's about it for now.........

Pumkin Patch

Here are some of the good pictures that I took of Rylee from yesterday. My sister, Amie, and I ran around and had lunch together and then we picked up Rylee from school early to take her to the same pumpkin patch from last year. Rylee was a little nervous at first and I wasn't sure if she would even let me take a picture of her. She soon outgrew that and was a wild woman from that point on. She was posing, laughing and trying to move all of the small pumpkins that she could carry. All of the small ones were "awe, too cute" in her words. She was a little ham. Amie and I were having to chase her all over the place. She spotted a little waggon wheel bench and that is where we got the best pictures. She picked all the pumpkins that were in the picture with her (except for the 1 large one that was already there). She got to pick out a pumpkin to bring home....it was $1 the smallest of her stash!!! BARGAIN!!!!!!!!! We took her to the park on the way home to let her get rid of the rest of her energy!

Fall Break

This is my HAPPY FACE.....I took my Mod A Final yesterday and I got a 100!!!!!!!!!! I have a 95 in lecture and a 97 in Lab. It took a LOT of late nights studying but I am so proud of myself. My throat FINALLY stopped hurting. This was the first morning in over a week that I woke up and didn't have a soar throat. My cough is pretty "man-like" and "attractive"! haha

Rylee had her first school picture day yesterday at school. She looked so cute. She was the ONLY kid in the class that REFUSED to have her picture taken though. BUMMER. They are going to try again today so I am keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't flip out. I took her to the park yesterday when I picked her up from school and she was having a BLAST so George and I took her back to the park after we got done with our dinner. Here are some pictures of her....

George got a new riding, zero-turn mower on Monday of this week. I think he has fallen in love for the second time! He is such a little boy and that is so much more than just an expensive mower, it is a TOY! He and his friends were riding it around and "making sure that it worked right" from the minute he took it off the trailer. He needs it though. He desirves it. He has really worked hard this year for Rylee and I. I am so proud of him. I just love him to pieces! (shh, don't tell Rylee she will get jealous! lol)

Today, I am going to my dad's old house to help Nana run a garage sale for my step-mom. Tonight I am plannin on having a girls night with Jessica if George gets home early enough today. Tomorrow, George and I are going downtown Ft. Worth for Oktoberfest at the Flying Saucer and I can't wait to try out the specialty beers! I am on Fall Break all next week and I am planning on doing some Fall cleaning. Puting the summer stuff away and breaking out the long sleeves and sweaters.

That's it for now.......

Sick and Tired

Sick and tired of being sick and tired. George was the first one of us to get sick. That was about a month ago. Rylee was sick Sat night-Wednesday and finally went back to school yesterday. My throat started hurting Wednesday and by 3 yesterday afternoon my fever and body aches had set in. My throat makes it impossible to swollow anything other than fluids.

Next week marks my 4 th week of school. I have a paper/presentation on Macular Degeneration due Monday (I finished it Wednesday). I have a vocab (abbreviations) test on Wednesday and then on Thursday I have my Mod A final. I can't believe it, one Mod down....10 more to go. I am loving school. Of couse, like anywhere you go whether it be school or work you can never be too far away from drama. We have a girl in our class who likes to tell everyone about everything in her life and quite frankly I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!! I have a lot of studying to do this next week for the final and abbreviation quiz. THEN it is Fall break and I will have the following week off of school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im ready for a break

Sorry this is so short but I don't feel well and I want to go back to sleep.

TGIF

SO, it is Friday and I am beginning to see that even though I don't have school on Friday it is also not just a day off. All the house cleaning (laundry, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc) that I used to do through out the week before I started school has all been jam packed into a one day, Friday clean-for-all!

George has still been keeping busy for now. I am not looking forward to the "slow" seasons. I even went to help him mow a lawn yesterday because he needed some extra help. FYI: I don't mow!!!!!!!!!!!! It was sort of humerus (except for the blister I now have on my thumb). Those damn commercial mowers are heavy and they are sooooooo faaassssttt. I was being pulled across the lawn! I am so happy those people weren't home to watch me make a fool of myself.

Rylee is growing like a weed. Her hair is getting so long. She is LOVING her school. She wakes up in the morning saying "go, get out" because she wants to go and I need to get out of bed! haha She doesn't even wait for me to get her lunch into the fridge at school before she is saying bye and running off and playing. When I pick her up in the afternoon she says bye to all her friends (there are only 6 kids in her class including her) and then she helps me get her things together. I ask her about her day and she babbles on and on about what I am guessing is all the fun stuff she did that day! haha She is a riot.

School is going good. I am beginning to settle into a routine. The homework is time consuming and studying for 2 tests a week is less of a challenge than I thought it would be. I have been learning about injections and how to give them! I am LOVING IT! According to all my victims (other student in the class) I give great injections. They can't even feel them. I however have receives a few painful ones and I have been told by my teacher to carry my student ID with me in my car in case I get pulled over because of all the bruises on my arms. I can just hear myself now......"I don't shoot up, I swear , officer" haha.

Tonight out friends are coming over and if the weather is nice we are cooking out some ribs. Tomorrow we are going to a 4 year old birthday party at the park just across the street from where we live. It should be fun. Sunday I am going to study for a test I have Monday. Sometime before Monday I need to get some more shoes for school and go to the grocery store because Rylee and I have nothing for lunch next week.

That is it for now.........................

Eventful

That is the only word that can describe the last week that we had. Monday was my first day of school and to my SHOCK we were jam packed with home work. 3 chapters worth of reading, 40 words to memorise, and 14 pages of homework!!!! I studies until 10-11 every night BUT it all paid off though because I had my first test on Thursday and I got a 100!!!!!!!!! Whoo Hooo (tooting my own horn just a bit) I am so happy and proud of myself.

Rylee has gone the last 2 days with out crying when I dropped her off at school which has made this transition much easier on me! She has also decided that crying when I pick her up doesn't make much sense either and has decided to cut that out of her daily schedule as well! haha ;)

George is getting over some sort of cold/allergy/sore throat thing that he has had for a few weeks off and on now. My ankle is still black and blue but not as swollen (can't remember if I wrote about that previously or not).

I don't have school tomorrow so I am planning on getting all caught up on laundry, vacuuming, dishes, and POSSIBLY dusting but we will see. I am shocked at how messy this place seems to stay especially now that I am in school and George and Rylee are incapable of throwing anything away or cleaning a dish!

I am looking forward to a pretty relaxing weekend with family. The only thing we have on our agenda is Aavary's first birthday party on Saturday. I will probably get a head start on homework for next week and read ahead and make some flashcards for next weeks vocab on Sunday and also do a little more reviewing over the exam I have Monday. I am pretty confident on the last 3 chapters though so I am not going to over load my plate with too much studying....YES THERE IS SUCH A THING!!!!!! That is about it for now..........

Movin' on up!

When I dropped Rylee off at school this morning it was by FAR the best experience we have had so far. She didn't cry at all until right before I left the room and even then it wasn't bad just a few whimpers and then she went back to playing with the only other little girl in the class (I went back to check on her). Then I went walking with a girlfriend of mine and decided that today I was going to move Rylee's crib upstairs and out of our room. I had been asking George to do it for 3 weeks now and he said that he would but I was done asking and surely done waiting so I took matters into my own hands! Let me tell ya, antique cribs are not easy to put together and take apart......1 1/2 hours from start to finish, that is including me moving it all piece by piece upstairs. I am so happy to have her in her own room FINALLY! She did great the 2 weeks that we were in New Mexico sleeping in a room by herself and that is the initial reason I wanted George to move her crib while I was gone. I am hoping that she does as good here as she did when we were out of town......wish us luck. Oh yeah, here is what her room looks like now that I have her crib back in it and her table and chairs moved to the other side of the room and the TV taken OUT (I decided that a TV is not good in bedrooms).

TGIF

Today is September 11, 2009. WOW, has it really been 8 years since that horrific day? My brother was 12 when that happened and now he is fighting for our country in a war that was started to defend us from what happened that day. I'm not going to turn this into a long blog about this because it is pretty depressing to me so I'm changing the subject now...

I got Rylee to school at 7:55 today!!! Whoo-hooo!! She was a LOT better this morning when I dropped her off and it is making it just that much easier for me to leave her. Rylee had a dentist appointment with her dentist at Children's Medical Center at 1pm so that meant we had to leave Arlington around 12-12:15 and since that is when they start nap time at her school I figured I would go get her at 11:30 so that I wouldn't disrupt the other kiddos trying to sleep. We got to her dentist's office and they checked her out and counted her teeth...16!!! Yes, 16 teeth! I was SHOCKED! I thought she was at 15 because I was convinced that the tooth where her cleft is hadn't grown in but I was wrong! He was able to show me it and that was a relief!!!!!

Heather and Aavary are coming over this afternoon and then tonight George and I are going to have some family time with Rylee just the 3 of us. She needs it and so do I after the transition with school and how hard it has been on the 2 of us. I never thought I would be so upset about her starting school. I knew that she would have a hard time with it but I never pictured myself crying, boy was I wrong!

We are supposed to go to our friend's house tomorrow night for an all day pool party/cookout but if it keeps raining this hard we probably will not end up going. If we do go Rylee will be having her first all night sleep over with George's parent which would be tons of fun for her I'm sure. We'll see what the weather is supposed to do tomorrow and make up our minds......

Face Lift and more.........

So, as you can see, I have given our blog a face lift! Rylee was MUCH better when I dropped her off for school this morning. I am supposed to be having lunch with an old friend of mine today. We have both been so busy with having babies and husbands/2nd children that we haven't seen each other in a while. Not sure where we will go but I am getting hungry.......

So here is what has been on my mind lately...... I am SOOOO excited to start school for many different reasons. It is something I should have completed a few years ago but I guess it is better late than never. I have been thinking about all the things that we will be able to do and the added happiness our home will have when George has some help. PLUS, and most importantly....I want another baby! I am hoping to finish school, get a job and immediately get pregnant. I don't want too big of an age gap between Rylee and her future sibling but finishing school and getting a job with good insurance is a must before baby #2 can happen!!!

09-09-09

This morning went a little bit better when I dropped Rylee off. I was able to get A LOT done. I went to the DMV and got my last name changed from Lappa to McDaniel, FINALLY! I picked up Linda and we went to the SS office to get our social security cards changed (yes, she and Bill have been married for 1 1/2 years and she STILL had not done this part). I went back to her house and she made us salad with zucchini, squash, greens, red bell peppers and shrimp, it totally hit the spot. I got home and it was still only 1 p.m. I was able to get 2 loads of laundry in before going to pick up Rylee. Rylee did so good today at school. She napped on her mat from 12-2:20....YES, a 2 hour and 20 minute nap! She was completely happy all day except for the drop off this morning. That makes me feel optimistic about tomorrow morning's drop off (fingers crossed I don't cry for the 3rd day). Rylee was supposed to have see Dr. Chiarello at 3:45 but when I got to their office the nurse and I decided that there was no real reason for them to see her because her rash was 100% gone!!!! Rylee and I went to the store and then we came home and played for a little bit before I got the spaghetti sauce going for dinner tonight. Here it is 4:45 and all I have left to do is boil some noodles, feed, bath, and play with Rylee and George until 8 then it is ME TIME!!!! I am going to have some wine and relax with the hubby before bed tonight.....can't wait.

First Day of School

Let me back track a bit. Saturday morning we woke up and Rylee had a little rash that looked similar to heat rash on the underside of her butt/back of thigh. I got online and looked up "fever followed by rash" and the Three Day Rash popped up. I am convinced that this is what Rylee had. By the end of the day her rash was on both legs, arms, face, feet and hands

These pictures do her rash no justice, it was scary looking and swollen at one point. Her rash is much better now and almost gone.

TODAY!!!!!! Rylee had her first day of school and it was much harder on me than I think it was on her. She was not in the mood to get up this morning, go figure! When I want her to sleep she is up at 6:30 when she has to get up she fights me 'til 7:45. I fed her breakfast and got her lunch packed and then I turned around to get her bag and she had dumped an entire cup of water down her dress and was trying to dry it off with a pillow before I saw! haha sneaky lil booger! I got her dressed and we were on our way. These are the only pictures I got of her before school because she didn't want to change, she was just fine in a soaking wet dress!

I got her to school at 8:45 about 15 minutes later that I had planned. I got her into her class and waited about 4-5 minutes to make sure that she was okay! I exited the room and she didn't even notice. I was choking back tears the whole time. I got to the car and realised that I had left my cell phone in her class room. I had to go back. I tried to sneak in and sneak out but she saw me leave and LOST IT! I had to keep walking, I know Rylee and if I would have gone back I would have not left without her. I got to the car and bawled my eyes out for a min. or two. I gathered myself and decided that I needed to keep myself busy so I ran a few errands for George and then I met my sister for lunch. My mom got Rylee a nap mat that we had ordered online from Target.com and although it is nice I think Rylee would like something with a little more cushion so I went to 3-4 different places before I found a kinder mat to make it have a little more padding. '

By the time I got home and vacuumed and done 2 loads of laundry it was 3 and I couldn't take it anymore. I got Rylee from school at 3:15. I got to meet Rylees afternoon teacher that I had never met before. They give us daily report cards that let us know what they do, eat, play with, and if they are happy, etc... Rylee was good, to my surprise she actually napped for 1 hour and 20 minutes on her mat! I was shocked. They said that she was a little sad and fussy this morning, which I already knew and that she was a little fussy after her nap also. That is pretty normal for her because she likes to cuddle when she gets up.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow is a little easier......for the both of us.
