these make me smile

Rylee likes to dress herself and tell me how "pretty" she is! These make me smile so I figured I would share them with you!

 

drinking "milk" when we went out to eat breakfast! She even poured some on her pancake and then ate it.....so gross but whatever, she ate it!!!

she was marching around the house in this....boots, a beanie, and some PJs! She is a trip!

 

she has become quite the little mommy. She even asks to take her baby and purse to school and when we go out to run errands!

 

more dress up....rain boots, dress that grandma made, necklace, purse and shades! This is her idea of pretty....I think it is pretty funny!

"Summer Break"

I will start this post with some good news because I'm not sure I am capable of talking much about the not so good news in my life right now. This is the bedding that I am going to get for Rylee's twin bed because SHE IS IN HER BED NOW!!!!!!!!!! Last night was her first night but I AM NOT GOING BACK!!!!! It took her a little bit to fall asleep, 23 min to be exact, and getting out of bed 3 times before she finally fell asleep around 9:30 but she stayed in her bed until 4:45 this morning. When she woke up she didn't cry (I had the baby monitor on HIGH right next to my ear) she just walked down stairs and got into our bed and went back to sleep for another 2 hours!!! She has been out of pull ups for about a month now and she has had NO ACCIDENTS!!! She is truly a big girl now. Kinda makes me sad but I'm still not sure I'm ready, or ever will be ready for another one. I want another one but now that she is becoming such an independent 'lil thing I'm not sure I'm ready to start over again.....if it happens it happens!

George has been sooo busy and his business keep growing. He picked up 7 new customers last week!

I am on my Summer break. I finished EKG-I with a 98 average!!!!! When I go back I only have 4 more weeks of school and the 4 weeks of externship and I am DONE!!!!! I can NOT wait. I have not been doing a lot of anything since being on break. We have gone to the pool and I have sorted through Rylee's room and taken a few much needed naps! That is about it, oh, and I have been able to go to the gym every morning which does wonders for my stress and emotions. I went to the gym 2 times yesterday. My mom was supposed to be coming in today. She is not. She is too sick. The chemo is making her extremely sick. Yesterday was the first day that she had eaten in 3 days without getting sick. She has been to the hospital several times in the last 2 weeks because the tumors in her lung give her the sensation that she is drowning and she can't breath causing her to have panic attacks. I feel so bad that I am not there taking care of her. I want to be sooo bad. She will not let me take time off of school so I am just praying that she hangs a while longer. I am stressed to the gills being so far away from her. I try so hard not to cry when I talk to her.....but it happens anyway. I wish I could take her pain away, be with her, finish school, and make her all better but I can't. I have been praying more than normal which is a LOT! ok.....I can't talk about this anymore, not right now.

lots of stuff to talk about

I would like to say that I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. We did! Well, for the most part. Friday my sister, Amie came over for dinner and we hung out for a while. George and I ended up watching a movie and calling it an early night. Saturday, we slept in (8:45!!! realllllly late for Rylee) and then went out for breakfast, came home and packed to go to our friends house for the weekend. We got out there, swam for a little bit and then the bad weather hit so we moved inside and all had a few, for some of us too many, coctails. Rylee and Garek, their 3 year old were inside watching a movie and when I went in to check on them Rylee was EATING PILLS!!!!!!!!!!! I was in a panic until I found out that they were homeopathic and really couldn't harm her. George made a comment about how they should have had their pills put up and next thing I know we were leaving. We got home at 10:45 pm and after unwinding for a bit we went to bed. I am not sure if we will be hanging out with them again, kinda sad seeing as we have all been friends for 15 years. Sunday morning, the 4th, we got up and realized that Rylee's face looked swollen so we kept her inside so we could keep a close eye on her. She ended up having a couple rounds of diarrhea but for the most part was more tired than normal but she was still playing. We ended up going to the Highland's shopping center to watch fireworks with George's cousin and wife and their daughter. I somehow pinched a nerve in my back getting the chairs out of the trunk...BOOO, it is NO FUN!!! Today Rylee woke up with a fever, 101.2 and she is REALLLLLY tired. My back hurts, BAD. George is working and I can't wait for him to get home.

UPDATES:
RYLEE'S POTTY TRAINING- couldn't be any better. She has not been in a pull up since last monday night and she has had not a single accident!!!!!!! She has not peed in a pull up in 2 months now, I was just too scared to let her sleep without one. They are expensive (9-10 dollard for 26 or 27 of them) and I didn't let her re-wear them because to me that is YUCKY!!!!!
MY MOM- will be here JULY 21st for atleast a few months!!!!! I can't wait. She is still waiting to hear about when/where/if they are going to do the experimental medication so for the mean time she is taking oral chemo and every now and then using oxygen to give her self an "extra boost" as she says.
SCHOOL- I have 2 weeks of EKG1 left and then I am on "summer break" for a week. When I go back I will have 4 weeks of school left. I should be getting my NCT (Limited operator in the radiography field) certificate in the mail withing the next 2 weeksI am taking my national medical assisting certification exam on August 20, my EKG one a month later in September and hopefully after all that I will not have a problem getting a job in the cardiology field!!!!

such a happy MOMMY!!!!!!!!

As most of you know, Rylee has been potty training since a week after her 2nd birthday. She has been in big girl panties ONLY except for at night until 2 nights ago!!!!!!!!  Prior to this transition she had not gone tee tee in her pull up in about 7-8 weeks so we figured we would try it out and see how she did.  SHE HAS BEEN TEE TEE FREE the last 2 nights!!!! I am soooooo proud of her! She has been going to bed between 8:30 and 9pm and waking up at 7 to 7:30am DRY!!! Just another sign that my baby girl is growing up WAY toooooo fast.

Needless to say, I AM ONE PROUD MOMMY!!!!!!!!! (George is proud of her too but he doesn't get how big of a deal this is, seeing as he never dealt with it anyways).
